The ABC program, which is the scholarly offering at Taqwa Academy, is next scheduled to start in Fall of 2025. It is important that all prerequisites (QUEST, First Steps, PATH114, QUILL, ARK) be completed prior to then.

Each potential substitute will be assessed individually. Students must provide a course outline, texts covered, and assessments completed in each course. Students may be subject to evaluation to demonstrate a minimum degree of proficiency.

The objective of PATH114 is to appreciate the themes, structures, and general messages of the Qur'an. Select passages will be discussed in detail, while the entirety will be traversed with Ustadh Hassan. Upon completion, students should be able to confidently pinpoint the location of stories and passages, expound on the central themes of the Qur'an, and demonstrate its interconnectedness within and between suwar. 

In contrast, QUILL is a technical course aiming to equip students with the ability to engage with the exegetical tradition and sift through the various opinions. Specifically, passages with extensive discussions and variances amongst the exegetes will be thoroughly examined. The history of the preservation of the Qur'an and the Ahruf will also be covered. 

Both courses provide distinct benefit and have minimal overlap. Students are encouraged to take courses which align with their objectives and learning goals.
