CLASSROOM POLICIES
Whilst completing the AXIS program, students are required to report on:
- Formal education;
- Work; and
- Family life
to their instructors ensuring that all aspects of life are being managed effectively. Any student found neglecting their formal education, career, or family life will be subject to disciplinary action and/or probationary status.
Students enrolled in the AXIS program are prohibited from enrolling in other Islamic educational endeavors, e.g., courses, intensives, weekend seminars, without the express approval of instructors. This clause is to ensure that students do not burden themselves with too many endeavors and aid in maintaining a balanced approach to life and studies, while focusing on the important aspects of life.
Students enrolled in the AXIS program must seek the express approval of instructors when volunteering their time publicly, e.g., masjid projects, student clubs, youth groups. This clause is to ensure that students do not burden themselves with too many endeavors and aid in maintaining a balanced approach to life and studies, while focusing on the important aspects of life.
All students are expected to maintain good conduct in and outside of classroom settings and extend respectful treatment to all other students and instructors. Inappropriate conduct will be subject to disciplinary action and/or probational status. Students must maintain respect for the wider tradition, including for views and positions that they may find disagreeable. Academic criticism is always welcome so long as it is done with propriety and comportment. Malignment of any tradition or persons will not be tolerated.
May Allah overlook our shortcomings, accept our good deeds, and bless us all in our provisions, both material and immaterial.
